Trial terms, in plain words

• Free for 14 days.
• No credit card. There is no payment method on file, so nothing can roll over into a charge.
• Up to 25 engineers. Machines do not consume seats (one person's laptop and desktop are one engineer), and each engineer can hold up to 10 active machine enrollments.
• macOS only. Windows and Linux endpoints are not supported: the agent will not run on them.
• Hosted by us on EU infrastructure, or self-hosted under a separate agreement (details).

Synopt is provided as-is during early access. There is no uptime SLA, no guaranteed response time and no warranty that a given feature will keep behaving the way it does today. Things will break, and when they do we will tell you rather than let a chart quietly go stale.

What we do commit to informally: a human reads support@synopt.dev, and we will be straight with you about whether something is broken, missing or not planned.

Reasonable expectations, stated as expectations rather than clauses:

• Install the agent on machines your organisation is entitled to monitor, and tell the people using them. The agent enforces this too: enrollment is blocked until the engineer acknowledges a disclosure on the device.
• Do not use Synopt to build a case against an individual employee on the strength of a single metric. It measures tool usage, not productivity or intent.
• Do not attempt to break into other organisations' data, overload the service, or resell access to it.
• Do not use the service for anything unlawful.

If we think use has crossed one of these lines, we will contact you before doing anything about it.

You can stop at any time: uninstall the agent, or email us and we will close the account. We can also end a trial at any time, and if we do we will say why. Neither side owes the other a notice period during early access.

You own the data your organisation's agents produce. Ask at support@synopt.dev and we will export it. During early access, data is kept for 30 days on a rolling basis. If you need a longer window to evaluate, ask us and we will raise it for your org.

Deletion: 7 days. Email support@synopt.dev and we will delete your organisation's data within 7 days. It is a manual process today: there is no self-service delete button in the dashboard yet, but the commitment is firm. More on the privacy page.

The Synopt agent is open source under Apache-2.0 and is governed by that license, not by this page: github.com/Codex-Labs-Tech/synopt-agent. The backend and dashboard are not open source and are provided under a commercial arrangement.

No liability caps, no indemnities, no arbitration terms, and no governing-law or jurisdiction clause. Early access is provided as-is, pending formal terms. We are not naming a country here and then arguing about it later; that belongs in an agreement someone has actually reviewed.
