Synopt is in early access, so the pricing page is short on purpose: there is a real free trial you can start now, and there is no published per-seat number yet because we have not settled on one we would be willing to defend.

Per-seat and annual pricing is not published yet.

We will quote you. Synopt is early enough that the right number depends on team size, how many tools you run and whether you want hosted or self-hosted, and we would rather have that conversation than post a figure we would have to walk back.

We will not surprise-bill you. There is no credit card on file during the trial, so nothing can roll over into a charge. When the trial ends we talk; if you say no, that is the end of it.

What the trial includes

Shipped and included

Included: Capture for Claude Code, Codex CLI and Cursor.
Included: Usage and adoption analytics: who is using which tool, and how much.
Included: Estimated API-equivalent cost, as reported by each tool's own telemetry rather than your provider's bill.
Included: Secret detection with on-device redaction: you get the finding, we never get the value.
Included: Agent fleet status: which Macs are enrolled, reporting and up to date.
Included: The dashboard, hosted by us on EU infrastructure.

Not included: planned, not shipped

Not included: Alerting. Findings appear in the dashboard; nothing notifies you. There is no alert engine and no delivery (email, Slack, webhook) yet.
Not included: PII and proprietary-code detection. Today's scanner finds credentials and tokens only.
Not included: Shadow-AI discovery: finding tools nobody told you about.
Not included: GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT capture. We have not written a reader for their log formats yet, so their events are dropped rather than guessed at.
Not included: MDM push (Jamf, Kandji, Intune). Install is a signed installer or one CLI command per Mac.
Not included: Windows and Linux agents. macOS only, deliberately (see /security).
Not included: SSO/SAML, and any audited compliance certification. Synopt has never been SOC 2 audited or penetration tested.

Straight answers

What happens on day 15?: A person from our team contacts you: no automated downgrade email and no card charge, because there is no card. Plan around the retention window though: during early access, data is kept for 30 days on a rolling basis, so on day 14 you are looking at the last week rather than the whole fortnight. If you need the full period retained, say so at the start and we will raise the ceiling for your org.
Will I get surprise-billed?: You cannot be. There is no credit card on file during the trial and no payment method to charge. Any paid arrangement starts with a quote you have read and agreed to.
Can I self-host instead?: Yes. Self-hosting is available, sold with a support agreement rather than self-serve, so it starts with a conversation: see how it works or contact us.
Do you support Windows?: No. macOS only, and there is no Windows beta. The short version: the Windows service model installs in a context that cannot read the AI tools' per-user config files, so the agent would report healthy and collect nothing. The longer version is on /security.
What counts towards the 25?: People, not computers. The trial covers up to 25 engineers, and each of them can enrol as many Macs as they actually work on: a laptop and a desk machine count once, not twice. We chose it that way because agents are keyed by hostname, so counting machines would quietly have charged the person with two Macs double.
Can we get our data deleted?: Yes, and we put a number on it: email support@synopt.devand your organisation's data is deleted within 7 days. It is a manual process today: there is no self-service delete button in the dashboard, so we would rather tell you than have you find out.
